Boom! Boom! Boom!

Howl! Howl! Grumble! Grumble! “Gu-Gu!”

There were plenty of large armies that were stationed by the eastern sea region. Many of them were looking at the vast eastern sea with fear and trepidation. They would constantly hear loud roars from the sea demon in the sea. There would also be the occasional giant waves that came from the sea, along with the ferocious aura presence that would come from the horrific sea demons, causing the armies by the sea to feel suffocation.

This sea region was near to the continent, and it was the shallowest part of the sea region. On normal days, there wouldn’t even be a single low-tier sea demon. Right now, they could actually feel the aura presence of the tier-two and tier-three sea demons. It was hard to imagine how the sea demon insurrection was like in the deeper parts of the sea region.

“Everyone, standby and prepare for battle. A large group of sea demons is assaulting!”

A loud and fierce order echoed, which caused all the martial artists to tense up. If Sha Di transmitted the message, it meant that the sea demons were truly incoming. Many Soul Travel Realm experts circulated their essence force and prepared for battle.

Pong! Pong! Pong!

Giant waves were crashing over from the distant sea, and each wave was much taller and much violent than the last. After the giant waves was a wide wave of sea demons, which all had blood red eyes. The waves that crashed in had a faint red color and the faint stench of blood which nauseated everyone.

“Soul Travel Realm martial artist! Launch the essence force attacks!”

One of the generals from the Northern Liang Kingdom roared, which was quickly followed by so much essence force attacks that covered the entire sky. It was so earth-shattering that the air was shaking. The sea demons in the distant all roared out as they used the sea waves below them and turned them into water pillars which clashed with the essence force attacks.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The essence force attacks exploded while the water pillars were blasted into water droplets, which scattered throughout the sky. There was a water mist what appeared on the surface of the sea, creating hazy scenery which was very beautiful. Many sea demons were injured as they let out a mournful roar, which resonated with the crashing of the waves and caused a sound wave which caused a boom in the ears of those average soldiers.

Swish! Swish!

Many sea demons attacked and launched themselves out of the sea, like a sharp sword thrusting at the soldiers on the beach. These sea demons weren’t of high tiers, and most of them were swordfish. They had a body of a sharp sword, and when they shot out from the sea, they looked like hundreds of thousands of sharp sword flying out, creating a spectacular sight.

“Retreat three kilometers and prepare for battle!”

The general from the Northern Liang Kingdom gave his orders in a calm manner. The attacks from the swordfish weren’t strong, and they had restricted movements on land for not having any limbs, which meant that death would be waiting for them afterward. In normal situations, these swordfish would never come on land, but they were influenced by the beast tide and had lost all rationality. Their only objective was to kill other races, which made them easy to deal with.

Swish! Swish!

The Northern Liang Kingdom’s army complied with the orders and retreated three kilometers in an orderly manner. When these swordfish all landed on the beach, they could only wag their tails, making their speed slow as snails. However, they were able to shoot out water arrows from their mouths, which somehow maintained their ferocity.

Of course, no matter how ferocious they were, a fish-type sea demon onshore was like fish on deck. Furthermore, these sea demons were affected by the beast tide and weren’t rational enough to return to the sea. They were all waiting for death.

The beast tide was a strange occurrence, and it was a secret in the eastern sea which had puzzled the citizens of the continent for hundreds of thousands of years. Since the beginning of the continent, the eastern sea had dozens of beast tide, but there were none in the northern, western, or southern seas. During every beast tide, all the sea demons in the eastern sea would go insane, which included the demon kings. They would kill everything that wasn’t of the same species of sea demons, and every time, there would be huge groups of sea demons crashing onto the continent, which wouldn’t rest unless they were killed.

What exactly was within the eastern sea? Why did the sea demons have an insurrection? Why would they lose their rationality?

No one knew... because no expert had the guts to venture into the depths of the eastern sea. Or perhaps... those experts that entered the depths of the eastern sea had never returned.

“Wu-Wu!”

Before all the swordfish could be killed, the second wave of sea demons was incoming. This time, it was a wave of amphibious sea lions. These sea lions were tier-two peak grade sea demons that weren’t hard to deal with. The only problem was their massive quantity.

The cruel battle had begun. The Northern Liang Kingdom had assembled an army which had a few hundred thousand soldiers, but how many of them would be left after this beast tide? It was something only heaven would know.

Concurrently, there was also a battle in the eastern sea region of the Divine Martial Kingdom. The Divine Martial Kingdom was already in turmoil. Fortunately, Jiang Bieli was leading the army personally, which allowed the various clans’ experts in the army to feel relieved.

Jiang Bieli had gone through hundreds of battles, but he had never lost. His only defeat was the battle with Jiang Yi in Monarch City. Then again, it was a battle between father and son. It might be possible that Jiang Bieli was reserving himself, which caused him to suffer injuries.

The Great Xia Kingdom had an easier time as Su Ruoxue’s plan went well. Many sea demons came onshore, and there were plenty of them which could travel freely on the land. However, sea demons were still sea demons for a reason. Leaving the waters for a long period of time would cause them to suffer a huge decrease in strength.

Back then, the cities of the Great Xia Kingdom were all cleansed and had suffered great casualties. There wasn’t a huge population in the eastern cities. It took them just a few days to migrate all the citizens, leaving behind empty cities, villages, and towns for the sea demons to devastate. After the sea demons had spent a few days on land and experienced a huge decrease in strength, the Great Xia Kingdom would then send out their elite troops to effortlessly eliminate the sea demons.

In just around five days, at least a few million sea demons had come onshore, which included three demon kings killed by Sha Di and Jiang Bieli. The two kingdoms had suffered great casualties as they each lost over a hundred thousand soldiers.

The two kingdoms constantly requested for aid as this beast tide was several folds larger in scale than any of the beast tides in history. They reckoned that it would take at least ten days to half a month before it would settle down. If during this period of time—no other vassal kingdoms were to provide support, the two armies would be completely eliminated.

The Azure Dragon Empire announced the imperial decree, calling out for everyone to send their troops to assist the two kingdoms. Like before... they didn’t even send a single expert or a single soldier to help.

The rest of the vassal kingdoms remained as they were. Only the three colleges and the Great Zen Monastery sent out some Soul Travel Realm experts and their elites to provide support. The Water Moon Observatory didn’t send any reinforcements. Even though they had the array, there would still be a few sea demons which would be able to make it to the Starfall Island accidentally. That area was the deep sea region, the disaster area.

...

Bang!

At the borders of the Forest of Sin which was located in the Saint Spirit Kingdom, the surface of the ground suddenly burst open. A figure burst out, wearing black clothes and had a black mantle covering the head. Only an emotionless face, which was accompanied by a pair of suspicious eyes, could be seen.

He looked around and tried to identify the terrain. He then took out a map to take a closer look before nodded his head. “This place shouldn’t be far from the Soul-Seizing Valley. I will spend the night here and rest up for the battle at the valley.”

He wandered around the place and found a small river where he caught a few fish. He then roasted the fish for a good meal before digging a cave in the mountain to rest.

Buzz!

Right at this moment, the sky suddenly vibrated, causing Jiang Yi’s eyes to immediately turn sharp. A red longsword appeared in his hand while his palm had pale green flames... he was ready to attack.

“Jiang Yi, it’s me!”

A charming voice echoed before a mesmerizing and beautiful woman appeared in mid-air. She was hugging a cute little fox in her arms.

“Ji-Ji!”

When the little fox saw the black-clothed man, it immediately jumped out from the charming woman into the arms of the man. The black-clothed man grinned and rubbed the little fox’s head with pampering affection. He then lifted his head to speak with the charming woman, “Demon Empress, how do you know I am here? If you are bringing Xiao Fei here... could something have happened?”

The Demon Empress nodded and said, “Something did happen. I might have to leave the continent in a few days. This Empress wanted to ask if you have the certainty to protect Xiao Fei after she leaves. If you don’t, I will have to take the risk and bring her with me.”
